Leaf blowers are evil, because they can never achieve their task - a modern day sisyphian nightmare - all those leaf blowers and still, so many leaves.
I like the idea of a utopia in which leaves pile in drifts, forming attractive heaps which we can all can kick and fall into. It brings to mind one of my favourite nz love poems, which contains only the words:
lets leap into a leaf heap
I think perhaps that in my utopia, it would always be autumn.
